TOPIC: THE REWARD OF COMPLETION

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that Day—not only to me, but also to all who long for His appearing.

EXPOSITION

The Apostle Paul endured numerous trials, persecutions, and hardships throughout his ministry. Yet he remained steadfast and faithful to God. Because of his perseverance, he confidently declared that he had fought the good fight, completed the race, and kept the faith. He knew that a crown of righteousness awaited him as a reward.

In the same way, an athlete undergoes rigorous training and discipline in order to win a prize. Despite the difficulty of the process, the athlete remains focused on the reward that lies ahead.

Likewise, God calls believers to remain steadfast in faith through the challenges of life. The journey may require sacrifice, patience, and unwavering commitment to God’s Word. Though the process may sometimes be difficult, we can be encouraged because the eternal reward God has promised is far greater than any earthly success.

Our journey with God helps shape our character and prepares us for His greater purpose. Every trial we face contributes to our spiritual growth and maturity. The ultimate reward—the fulfilment of God’s purpose and the promise of eternal life—is worth every step of the process.

Therefore, let us continue to press forward with determination, fixing our eyes on the crown of righteousness that the Lord has prepared for all who love and remain faithful to Him.

PRAYER POINTS

Lord, help me to remain faithful and endure every process, knowing that the reward is worth it.

Father, strengthen me to finish the race You have set before me.

Pray for greater manifestations of God’s power and presence in CAC Latunde Region, in the life of our father in the Lord—the Regional Superintendent—and among all officers and members at every level, in Jesus’ name.
