TOPIC- CHOSEN TO RULE THE WORLD
“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world…”
— John 15:19
The Lord Jesus clearly stated that although you live in this world, you are not of it. You have been personally chosen by God and separated from the world to live the divine life—a life governed by a higher and different set of principles. As a child of the Kingdom, you are to operate with a Kingdom mindset. You are called to rule and reign over the systems, elements, structures, and circumstances of this world.
The world is subject to you. This truth is firmly established in the words of Jesus in John 16:33: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” When He overcame the world, you were in Him. His victory was not for Himself alone—it was for you.
As a result, in Christ, you have overcome both the world and the god of this world, Satan. You are superior to Satan, the forces of darkness, and the corrupting influences of this age. You belong to a royal lineage, ushered into a higher realm of life marked by dominion, excellence, and authority.
While others complain about situations and circumstances, you provide solutions. You are not among the crowd crying for change—you are the one effecting change through your words and prayers. You carry within you the greater One; your Father is above all, and He lives in you. You represent Him. Therefore, never think, speak, or act like the ordinary person.
Recognize who you are. Your calling is to unveil God’s excellence and righteousness to your world. You have been positioned as light in the midst of darkness. You are Heaven’s finest—chosen, royal, and abundantly blessed. As the Scripture declares:
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9 AMPC).
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank You for choosing me out of the world and setting me apart for Your glory. I am conscious of my divine origin and heavenly calling. I function from the realm of glory, shining Your light and dispensing Your grace to my world. I live as royalty, revealing the beauty and excellence of the Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
FURTHER STUDY
1 John 5:4–5
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
John 17:14–16
I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Matthew 5:14–16
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid… Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
