According to 1 Peter 5:8, Bible says there is an adversary, the devil and his assignment is destructive, he wants to hinder us from attaining God divine height. The work of adversary is to steal, kill and to destroy. John 10:10. To stop the work of this adversary you need;
1) To be vigilant, be watchful to his tricks and manipulation. 1 Peter 5:8
2) To know his mode of operation therefore be contented. 1 Timothy 6:6
3) To be at your duty post, don't be idle like king David that was idle and saw naked woman that was bathing. 2 Samuel 11:1-4.
4) To resist the devil constantly. James 4:7
