THEME: FREEDOM OF WORSHIP – PART II

MEMORISE

“The LORD will be terrible unto them: for He will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship Him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.”

— Zephaniah 2:11

BIBLE READING

Psalm 96:8–13

8. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; bring an offering, and come into His courts.

9. O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness; fear before Him, all the earth.

10. Say among the heathen that the LORD reigns; the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved; He shall judge the people righteously.

11. Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof.

12. Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it; then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

13. Before the LORD; for He comes, for He comes to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth.

MESSAGE

Many people sincerely desire to worship the one true God but are restricted by various obstacles. A clear example is Pharaoh, who refused to allow the children of Israel to leave Egypt to worship God until divine intervention forced his hand. When God acted, Pharaoh could not even wait until morning; that same night, he summoned Moses and Aaron and commanded them to leave Egypt and serve the LORD (Exodus 12:29–31).

However, even after releasing them, the Egyptians pursued the Israelites in an attempt to return them to bondage. God silenced their efforts at the Red Sea, granting the Israelites complete freedom to worship Him (Exodus 14–15).

Perhaps you desire to worship God freely, but something keeps holding you back. You want to praise Him and proclaim His greatness, yet an unresolved issue in your life keeps resurfacing. That challenge may have lingered so long that others have begun to question where your God is. Each time you focus on that problem, worship becomes difficult. I decree today that the Almighty God will intervene in your situation and silence every obstacle hindering your worship, in Jesus’ name.

There are also those who long to do great things for God—building churches, supporting the needy, sponsoring crusades—but are limited by financial constraints. If this describes you, I pray that God will release abundance into your life so you can accomplish all He has placed in your heart to do for Him, in Jesus’ name.

Revelation 4:11 declares that God is worthy to receive glory, honour, and power, for He created all things for His pleasure. Your hands were created to clap in worship, your mouth to sing His praise, and your feet to dance before Him. Therefore, anyone—whether in government, family, or any sphere of life—who seeks to hinder you from worshipping God and giving Him pleasure must repent, lest they face divine judgment as Pharaoh did.

PRAYER POINT

Father, please usher me into a new season of sound health, prosperity, and total freedom, so that I may serve and worship You without hindrance.
