MESSAGE

After I gave my life to Christ, my greatest desire was to please God. However, there came a time when the person who introduced me to Christianity disappointed me deeply. I was so hurt by his actions that I began to consider returning to my old life. I felt that staying in church was no longer worth it.

As I reflected on what had happened, with pain heavy in my heart, I heard God ask me a simple question: “Son, have I ever disappointed you?” I answered, “No.” Then God gently comforted me and taught me an important lesson—to never place my absolute trust in any human being, but in Him alone, because He never fails.

No matter how close or trustworthy people may seem, they are human and can disappoint us. God, however, is perfect, faithful, and dependable. He is the only One you can rely on completely, regardless of the situation.

Dear child, perhaps someone you admired or trusted has hurt you, and you feel like giving up on your faith. Please don’t. Instead, pour out your heart to God in prayer. Ask Him to heal your pain and help you place your full trust in Him. Also, pray for those who have hurt you, just as Jesus instructed in Matthew 5:44. As you trust God wholeheartedly, I pray that He will surround you with His comfort and display His mighty power in your life, in Jesus’ name.

KEY POINT

God is the only One who will always stand by you. Trust in Him—He will never fail.
