EXPOSITION

Life finds its true meaning when it blesses other lives. Nothing in nature exists for itself alone. Animals sustain plants through the release of carbon dioxide, while plants preserve animal life by releasing oxygen. Rivers do not drink their own water, trees do not eat their own fruits, and the sun does not consume its own light but shines to give warmth and life to the earth. This is the divine order of creation.

In the same way, human beings are created to depend on one another. No one survives in isolation. Even wealth does not spend itself—it is meant to be shared for the good of others. We are made for fellowship, service, and mutual support.

The Good Samaritan in our text perfectly demonstrated the life God expects us to live. His compassion moved him to action. Mercy, therefore, is the foundation of genuine service. Religiosity without mercy is empty and meaningless. God calls us not only to see needs but to respond to them with love and sacrifice.

Jesus’ instruction, “Go and do likewise,” is a direct call to action. Instead of becoming a burden to ourselves or a liability to society, we are encouraged to continually offer ourselves as living sacrifices. True fulfilment, relevance, and greatness are found in serving others with a sincere heart.

PRAYER POINTS

Thank God for His immeasurable love and the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we receive abundant grace.

Ask God for forgiveness for every form of selfishness, covetousness, and careless living, in Jesus’ name.

Pray that God will clothe us with the spirit of sacrifice, selflessness, and genuine service, in the name of Jesus.
