Topic: Jesus Grows Well

“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Exposition

Today’s Living Water devotional highlights the all-round development of Jesus during His earthly life. He grew intellectually, spiritually, physically, and socially. His increase in wisdom reflects deep understanding and spiritual insight. His physical growth shows a balanced and healthy development. This calls us to examine our own physical well-being—are we honouring our bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit?

Jesus also enjoyed divine favour through His close and consistent relationship with His Heavenly Father. This invites us to reflect on our spiritual walk. How intentional are we about growing in faith and drawing closer to God?

In addition, Jesus built healthy relationships and earned love, respect, and goodwill among people. To follow His example, we must pursue wisdom through daily study of God’s Word and continual dependence on divine guidance. We are also encouraged to care for our physical health through proper nutrition, exercise, and adequate rest.

Spiritual growth is nurtured through prayer, worship, and fellowship with other believers. Likewise, we should intentionally build and maintain godly relationships, reflecting the love of Christ in our interactions. May we be inspired to grow in every area of life, just as Jesus did, to the glory of God. Amen.

Prayer Points

Lord, thank You for the perfect example of Jesus. Help us to grow in wisdom, stature, and favour with God and people.

Father, grant us wisdom and strengthen us as we build and deepen loving relationships with You and with others.

Lord, help Your Church to continually reflect Your grace and truth.
