TOPIC:THE GIFT OF EMMANUEL
MEMORY VERSE
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
(Isaiah 9:6)
BIBLE READING
Isaiah 7:14
“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”
EXPOSITION
As we commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ on this Christmas Day, we are reminded of the deep and powerful meaning behind the name Immanuel—“God with us.” In moments of joy and seasons of trial, in times of victory and uncertainty, God chose to step into human history, not as a distant observer, but as a present and living God, revealing His immeasurable love for mankind.
The prophecy of Isaiah points to this miraculous birth—the fulfilment of God’s promise to dwell among His people through a Child born of a virgin. This Child, Jesus Christ, represents divine love, grace, and salvation for all who believe.
The remembrance of Christ’s miraculous birth encourages us to seek His presence daily and assures us that God is neither far away nor detached from our lives. Through Jesus Christ, we have access to the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.

SUGGESTED HYMN FOR TODAY
CAC GHB 153
(C.M. & Refrain)
Joy fills our inmost heart today,
The royal Child is born;
And angel hosts in glad array
His advent greet this morn.
Rejoice, rejoice! The incarnate Word
Has come on earth to dwell;
No sweeter sound than this is heard—
Emmanuel.
Low at the cradle throne we bend,
In wonder and in awe;
No earthly blessing can transcend
The joy we feel once more.
Before the manger’s humble shrine,
The world its charms must lose;
As folded in His mother’s arms
We see the Babe divine.
O Light of uncreated Light,
Shine on us, Holy Christ;
That we may keep Thy birthday bright
With service pure and undefiled.
Amen.
