LIFE SECRET: YOUR BLESSING MAY COME FROM AFAR
We often look for our blessing in familiar places. In the people we know, in the office we work in, in the city we live in, in the connections we have built for years.
But life does not always work like that.
Very often, the help you have been praying for will not come from your neighbor. It will come from a stranger. The opportunity you have been waiting for will not come from your hometown. It will come from a place you have never been. The open door you need will not be opened by the hands you expected.
Your blessing may come from afar.
1. Don't Despise Distance
Naaman was a great man in Syria, but his healing did not come from all the mighty doctors in Syria. It came from a little slave girl from Israel, and his healing was in a river far away in Jordan. [2 Kings 5]
Joseph's brothers were right next to him, but his promotion did not come from his family. It came from Pharaoh in Egypt — a man who had never met him before.
Stop limiting God to your phone contacts. The world is bigger than your circle.
2. Afar Does Not Mean Absent
Just because it hasn't arrived yet doesn't mean it's not coming. The distance is not denial. The fact that you have to wait, that you have to travel, that you have to stretch, is proof that what is coming is worth the journey.
The Queen of Sheba traveled a great distance because she heard there was wisdom in Jerusalem. She understood that some things are worth traveling for.
What is for you may require faith to receive. It may require you to leave your comfort zone, to send that email to someone you don't know, to apply for that opportunity that feels too far, to connect with people outside your usual tribe.
3. Be Ready to Recognize It
Here is the danger: When your blessing comes from afar, it will not come in the package you expected.
It may come with an accent you are not used to.
It may come from a younger person.
It may come from a place you looked down on.
It may look like work, not like a gift.
Ruth was a Moabite woman — an outsider, far from Bethlehem. But she became the great-grandmother of King David. If Boaz had despised her because she was from afar, he would have missed his own destiny.
Stay humble. Stay open. Don't let pride, prejudice, or familiarity blind you.
4. Your Assignment Today
This week, lift up your eyes.
Stop saying "Nobody knows me there" and start saying "My name will be mentioned where it matters."
Stop saying "I don't have anybody" and start saying "My help is already on the way, from places I can't even imagine."
Because the truth is — God knows how to move hearts thousands of miles away just to favor you. He knows how to connect you to people who have never met you, but have been prepared to bless you.
Don't close your door. The one knocking may have traveled a long way just to reach you.

Your blessing may not be near, but it is nearing. It may come from afar, but it knows your address. Stay faithful, stay ready, and stay open.
