GRACE AND THE ANOINTING

“But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.”

— Ephesians 4:7

There is an important distinction between grace and the anointing, though many people mistakenly use the two terms interchangeably. Scripture clearly shows that they are not the same.

The anointing refers to the consecration and indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit—the divine empowerment that sets you apart for God’s purpose. Every believer has received this same anointing because it is the same Holy Spirit who lives in us all. This anointing abides in you permanently; it does not reduce or diminish, and it brings special grace into your life.

Grace, however, speaks of divine enablement and favour given according to your unique calling and assignment in the Body of Christ. As the Bible says, “To each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it” (Ephesians 4:7 NIV).

Unlike the anointing, grace can increase. Scripture teaches that we can grow in grace (2 Peter 3:18), experience multiplied grace (2 Peter 1:2), and receive even more grace, for the Bible declares, “He gives more grace” (James 4:6). God gives more grace, but He does not give more anointing. As you grow in faith, knowledge, and revelation of Jesus Christ, you advance in grace.

Grace defines the reach of your influence and the level of effectiveness in your God-given calling. Understand this truth: while your anointing is complete, your grace can increase. Walk in this revelation and allow the grace of God in your life to multiply through deeper knowledge of Him and consistent fellowship with His Word. Hallelujah

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank You for giving me Your Spirit without measure and for the grace to fulfil my divine calling. I walk in the consciousness that I am fully anointed and empowered by the Holy Spirit to accomplish Your purpose for my life. As I grow in grace and in the knowledge of You, my results, impact, and fruitfulness increase, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
