Message

Helping others—whether individuals, groups, or communities—brings deep joy and fulfilment. Studies have shown that people who regularly help others tend to be happier and are less likely to struggle with depression or emotional stress. On the other hand, those who constantly complain or see people as burdens often miss out on true happiness.

Today’s lesson reminds us that God expects us to support and care for one another, especially fellow believers. As a young person, you have opportunities every day to help others—at school, in your dormitory, in your fellowship, or in your neighbourhood—according to your ability.

For example, if a classmate has no snack for lunch and you have more than enough, God wants you to share. If your coursemate is struggling to pay school fees and your parents are able to help, you can speak to them and ask if they can assist. Even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.

Dear child, helping others and volunteering to serve is always rewarding. Beyond the joy it brings, it also helps you gain valuable experience that can prepare you for future careers, leadership roles, or business opportunities.
