Open Heavens For Teens Daily Devotional For January 5, 2026: Title - Jesus Always Listens

OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS

DATE: MONDAY, JANUARY 5TH, 2026

THEME: JESUS ALWAYS LISTENS

MEMORISE:

“If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

— John 14:14

BIBLE READING: MATTHEW 7:7–11 (KJV)

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. What man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, being human, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him?”

MESSAGE:

Jesus is always available to listen to you—anytime and anywhere. You can talk to Him about everything, no matter how small or how big it may seem. He never gets tired of hearing your voice, and He is never too busy to attend to you.

Whenever you feel confused, sad, scared, or overwhelmed, you can call on Jesus. When you are facing challenges or need help, simply ask Him. There is nothing you cannot share with Him because He truly cares about you and listens to every prayer.

You can even talk to Jesus about your schoolwork. If you are struggling with your studies or want to do better in your exams, ask Him for help. You can pray for wisdom, understanding, a good memory, and excellent results. Jesus hears your prayers and answers them in His perfect way.

Remember, God is your loving Heavenly Father. He wants the best for you and delights in blessing His children. Today’s memory verse assures us that when we ask in Jesus’ name, He responds. Make prayer a daily habit—talk to Jesus about everything, because He always listens.

ACTION POINT:

Spend the next ten minutes talking to Jesus and asking Him for something you truly need.

HYMN 6: WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS

What a Friend we have in Jesus,

All our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry

Everything to God in prayer!

O what peace we often forfeit,

O what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry

Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?

Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never be discouraged,

Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Can we find a friend so faithful

Who will all our sorrows share?

Jesus knows our every weakness,

Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy-laden,

Cumbered with a load of care?

Precious Saviour, still our refuge,

Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?

Take it to the Lord in prayer;

In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,

Thou wilt find a solace there.
