“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

(Scripture text unchanged)

THE MESSAGE

One remarkable event recorded in Genesis chapter one is how God transformed chaos into order. The Bible reveals that the earth was formless, empty, and covered in darkness. However, the moment the Spirit of God moved upon the waters, confusion gave way to beauty, and emptiness was replaced with fullness. Everything that followed this divine intervention was declared “good” by God.

Emptiness is never desirable. For instance, when someone is described as “empty-headed,” it suggests a lack of capacity for meaningful achievement. In the same way, a life devoid of the Holy Spirit struggles to produce lasting results. It was only after the Spirit of God intervened that creation began to reflect God’s purpose and excellence.

Whenever the supernatural encounters the natural, the natural must submit. In Judges 14:5–6, the physical strength of a roaring lion was no match for Samson when the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him. In the same vein, no one can accomplish anything of eternal value through human strength alone (John 15:5). However, yielding to the Holy Spirit opens the door to extraordinary accomplishments in every area of life.

When you surrender to the Holy Spirit, He takes full control—guiding your thoughts, words, and actions. This divine oversight brings about supernatural transformation and ushers you into a realm where limitations give way to endless possibilities.

Beloved, make a conscious decision to submit fully to the leading of the Holy Spirit this year. Cultivate a lifestyle of praying in the Spirit and depending on His guidance in all things (Romans 8:14). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, this must be your first step. Repent sincerely, turn away from sin, and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Then ask God to baptise you with the Holy Spirit, and seek the prayers of a genuine servant of God for the infilling, evidenced by speaking in tongues.

Regular fasting is also essential, as it helps subdue the flesh and strengthens spiritual sensitivity. In addition, diligent daily study of God’s Word and obedience to His instructions are vital. When these principles are faithfully practiced, the Spirit of God will work mightily in your life, and what once seemed impossible will become possible.

PRAYER POINT

Father, please overshadow me with Your precious Holy Spirit, and turn every impossibility in my life into possibilities, in Jesus’ name.
