MEMORISE

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1).

[2]. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

EXPOSITION

Presenting ourselves as living sacrifices to God is the essence of pleasing Him. As believers, our lives should reflect a continual offering to God, characterised by holiness and obedience. The world may entice us with its allurements, but true satisfaction is found in surrendering to God's will. Pleasing God requires a deliberate commitment to align our thoughts, actions and desires with His perfect plan.

The Memory Scripture emphasises the importance of not conforming to the patterns of this world but being transformed by renewing our minds. Pleasing God demands a profound change in mind-set, prioritising His ways over worldly standards. It necessitates daily surrendering and submission to His guidance, allowing His Word to shape and direct our lives in accordance with His perfect will.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, help me to present myself as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You.

2. Guide me in aligning my thoughts, desires and actions with Your perfect will, Lord, that I may continually walk in obedience, and please You in all things.

3. Lord, free our youth from following the devil rather than pleasing You.
