TOPIC: REQUIREMENT FOR THE NEW YEAR

MEMORISE : Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me (Psalm 51:10).

[16].    No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. 

[17].   Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”

EXPOSITION 

To have new results, you must be ready to do the same thing differently. If you constantly do the same thing the same way every time, you will always get the same result, which can be synonymous with nothing but failure and stagnation. That is never your lot, in Jesus' name.

This is a new year, and to make progress in it, you need to know what it requires, since every year has its own peculiarities. Our text reveals to us the importance of doing things differently to have different and new results in the New Year. Your New Year's resolution is immaterial, if you do not develop a new heart and new way of doing things. The result of putting new wine in an old wineskin has always been the same. The wineskin breaks and the wine wastes. You don't patch an old garment with new cloth because the tear will be massive (Matt. 9:16). Similarly, God promises to give us a new heart and put a new spirit in us (Ezk. 36:26). As we enter this New Year, let us seek this newness from God, rather than trying to patch up our old godless ways. Align your heart with His purpose, this year and the rest of your life. I see God attending to your situation.

PRAYER POINTS

1.    Lord Jesus, help me to be positive and improve in every aspect of my life this year.

2.    Lord, grant me a new heart to succeed and progress in the New Year.

3.    Pray for CAC Printing Press, the Chairman, the press manager and the staff as led by the Spirit of God.
